Marvel Legends has probably produced less than a dozen versions of Thor figures thru Toybiz and Hasbro. Among the God of Thunder figures, these two are the latest.
In 2012, Marvel Legends released a line up via Hasbro and included Thor yet again. This 2015, we have the Odin wave line up. Since it's an Odin wave, it's inevitable to include the son of Odin, right? What i like about the series is that the BAF (Build- a- Figure) parts can be made into an old Thor variant or an Odin.

Now let's compare the 2 figures. As you can see, Thor from the Return of Marvel Legends Series, has the metal plate armor on the arms. It's a real bad ass for me since he is protected all the way when battling his foes. And this figure includes Mjolnir, his mighty hammer. The arms, elbows, torso, wrist, legs down to its knees and the ankles has nice articulation but not so much on its head. It has limited movements but has a nice facial finish. I like it when it is not shiny. It also has a pretty good cape, I like the way it is made. So over all it is a nice figure to be part of your collection.
 
As for the new Odin wave Thor version- over all, it has the same articulation as its predecessor and the same sculpted Mjolnir as the previous one. This one though, has the ragnarok sword to make this figure even more powerful looking. Though it has both arms unprotected with armor, it's a good version. The only thing that really disappoints me is that the knee joint connectors are soft and wobbly, though it can stand on its own. And the head gets off easily, I am not just sure if it is made that way so that it can be interchangeable with the old Thor's head. It also has the same facial sculpt as its predecessor, and its arms and face are a bit shiny to me that I had to spray it with a matte top coat paint.
