A while back when we were kids me and my one and only brother Joe Anthony Uy Quintia are a fan of different ornamental fish, probably we are really amazed of there beauty. We even go wander different water ways as a kids collecting fish with friends and on several occasions with our cousins in Iloilo. Even our parents are so supportive  in helping us keeping ornamental fish Thanks Mom and Dad! In fact,  it was my dad who bought us our first aquarium, it was a small 5 gallon tank bought at Cartimar in Pasay City Philippines we were able to acquire different kinds of fish mixed in one tank, Crazy yes as kids what is important is that our tanks will not be empty not thinking that those fish can be stressed and die, well we have learned our lessons.

As we grew up we have tried several pets like Dogs, rabbits, hamsters and snakes. But we always go back to ornamental fish, until now we keep fish I for instance is keeping and breeding endlers live bearers, and my brother on the other hand is with betta splendens.

Betta Fighters types 

My brother was able to successfully bred bettas but I am sure he learned it the hard way, he tried different methods and he was able to found the most effective way whatever it is you ask him. Sometime during college, he was able to produce veil tales, eventually he got tired and switch hobby to fighting cocks as we have poultry supply, fighting cocks has a great market, and my brother was able to acquire and bred winning lines. And then again after that he got tired and of keeping fighting cocks, And I told him why don't you go back to betta, but this time you will keep and breed quality ones not just veil tales, he immediately said yes, I gave him his initial capital I think back in 2009, he was able to acquire his pure strain betta fighters, and shortly after that, he was able to connect with other betta keepers and had acquire nice strains of fighters and fancies thanks to the world wide web! Right now my brother has earned from his hard work in keeping and breeding bettas. From veil tails, Fighters and fancies right now he is one of known betta breeder in the south and was able to reach Davao and pan ay Islands as a known betta breeder.
